The Birthday Boy

After Daniel got home (while Ezekiel was taking a nap), we sang to Malachi and gave him a birthday "cake" brownie. [Sorry, kid, it's all we had on hand. We're saving the cake for your party.] He loved to hear us sing to him (because he LOVES music). He even blew out the candles all by himself. He didn't eat any of the brownie but was able to find one of Grandpa's "pop-pop"s in the cabinet of the island. We then went to the house to try to work on the floor. I didn't get a chance to do much, but Daniel almost got the hall finished. He was still working after 9pm, so the boys and I ran to Sonic to pick up some dessert. Malachi had an Apple Cherry Slushy. He kept smiling really big saying, "ap-ple-poo" and "ice" and "mmmmm." It was a hit. And by the end of the day, we got Malachi to answer the question of how old he was with the correct answer of "two." I love you, Buddy! Happy Birthday (all week long)!
