Special Visitors
Malachi was visited by his Cousin Callie (and Uncle Josh & Aunt Erin) today. Callie loves to look at him and point out his features, like "hair," "eyes," and so on. Callie will be 2 at the end of August. She is getting so big and talkative. We all have a hard time believing how grown up she is getting!
Getting Bigger and Stronger
Malachi is 16 days old in this picture. He is getting bigger and stronger. He actually laid on his tummy for more than 15 minutes. He was able to pick up his head to move it from side to side a few times. He has a very strong neck. Yes, I know that I'm bragging, but it's my job as his mother.
Daddy's Little Man
Malachi and Daniel love to hang out and have fun. Can you tell who's son he is?
A little too big!!!
He may not totally fit into his bathrobe, but he will before too long.
He's sleeping!
Our precious little boy likes to touch his face and move his arms all around. He is about one week old in this picture. Isn't he cute?!

I'm finally here!!!
After 3 hours of pushing and many hours of labor, I finally arrived on Saturday, June 9th, 2005 at 1:09pm. My mommy and daddy are very exhausted but are very glad that I am here. I weighed in at 7lbs. 13 oz. I was 20 1/2 in. long. Mommy is feeling good. She is very sore and swollen but very happy that I finally arrived. Look at my full head of hair! I look just like my daddy!

It has come and gone!
My due date (July 5th) has come and gone. Malachi is not here yet. Daniel asked off of work for this week thinking that our little boy would have arrived by now. We were both very sure that he would be here by now. Daniel and I are both quite frustrated and somewhat annoyed that we don't have our little boy to hold yet. I know that God will bring him when he is ready, but I wish he would hurry up! Malachi has been head down for about 2 months now. He has gotten much lower and descended into my pelvis about 2 weeks ago. I am tired of holding my belly. I want to hold my baby! I know that people say not to rush this time. I don't care what they say. I want to be sleep deprived. I want to feed him and change him and love him. I was content with being pregnant for 7 and a half months. It is my turn to get rid of this "fat belly" as our pastor's son so lovingly teased. I want to wear normal clothes again. I want to roll over in the middle of the night without pain. I pray fervently each day for God to send me into labor!

It stinks being overdue. The last few weeks have felt like an eternity. Daniel and I are literally sitting around the house looking at each other and waiting for contractions to come. Please pray that God will give us the patience to endure or the labor to begin soon.

(I am trying to post some more baby shower and pregnancy pictures, but all three different computers that I have tried do not want to cooperate. I'll try again later.)

It's Shower Time!
May 21 was our first shower (baby shower, that is). Daniel and I do shower everyday. Anywho, the shower was given by my mom and Daniel's Aunt Jane. It was a lot of fun, and we walked away with a car-full of baby stuff.

Malachi's 1st Picture

Here is a picture from our scheduled ultrasound. This is when we found out that the baby was a Malachi and not an Abigail. We were not able to get a picture of his "boy" parts, but we were able to see them. This picture is wonderful! You can see his head, profile, and spine. It really is amazing!
"Junior's" 1st Picture
This was Malachi's first picture. He was twelve weeks developed. I started spotting on a Sunday morning in December. Needless to say we were scared to death. Anyways, I went to the hospital for a check-up and the doctor ordered an ultrasound. After waiting for over an hour (and being extremely hungry), we were able to see our little boy. We called him "Junior" at that time since we did not know whether he was a boy or a girl. Mom told me that the baby was either a Morgan or a Daniel junior, so it stuck until my next ultrasound. God is good! We were so delighted to see our little baby move and his heart beat as well.
